The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Águilas Poblanas were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Barra Funda F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Godofredo Hibai took the corner. After taking down the ball on Águilas Poblanas's corner Godofredo Hibai fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teun Verbraecken quite easily take care of the ball. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Mineiro in the 11th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Edmílson Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandros Ismael was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Teun Verbraecken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Galeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Jacinto Galeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teun Verbraecken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Inácio Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Domingues in the 18th minute of play. When Edmílson Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Barra Funda F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Mineiro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Barra Funda F.C booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klement Malik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inácio Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Domingues in the 27th minute of the match. Jacinto Galeno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teun Verbraecken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Barra Funda F.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Conrado Eliu hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Alin Cristaldo. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Mineiro in the 35th minute of play. Alexandros Ismael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmílson Mineiro went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Jacinto Galeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teun Verbraecken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Barra Funda F.C booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cengiz Canalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Ciro Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match Edmílson Mineiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandros Ismael showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Mineiro in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandros Ismael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Águilas Poblanas made a substitution. Eusebio Beltran replaced Jacinto Galeno. The wind increased when Eusebio Beltran made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Barra Funda F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Cristaldo came free, but Teun Verbraecken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alin Cristaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Teun Verbraecken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Porto. With his leg Alexandros Ismael managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Barra Funda F.C's Inácio Domingues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Águilas Poblanas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Godofredo Hibai in the 67th minute. Godofredo Hibai made a great header on Águilas Poblanas's corner, it was just that Barra Funda F.C's Teun Verbraecken managed to reach the ball for a save. Teun Verbraecken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 73rd minute of the match. Barra Funda F.C's Teun Verbraecken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Beltran in the 74th minute of play. Águilas Poblanas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Beltran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandros Ismael made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Edmílson Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. Teun Verbraecken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Beltran, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th match minute, Barra Funda F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Teun Verbraecken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 87th minute of the match. Eusebio Beltran scored 1-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teun Verbraecken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st match minute, Águilas Poblanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Papo to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Barra Funda F.C's Inácio Domingues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexandros Ismael. That made the score 1-3 after 92 minutes of play. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when Barra Funda F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franklin Pirani during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, one of Barra Funda F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barra Funda F.C. Teun Verbraecken had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Cengiz Canalp's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The Barra Funda F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
