In the 30th minute, one of Tarada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tarada. When the match had been going on for 31 minutes, AKI CORINTHIANS's Alfred Schrijns got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Henrick Zeier. 34 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Migneault came free, but Orlando Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Wielowiejski in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 37 minutes, Ciro Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AKI CORINTHIANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Migneault, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. AKI CORINTHIANS's Gonçalo da Silveira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Oskar Gunnarsson, made in the 44th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Ibar to make the kick off. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tarada players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
