The referee ignored União Verde FC's protests and gave Valdomiro Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, União Verde FC's Valdomiro Paraibano got a free kick in the 5th minute. The supporters of União Verde FC booed when RomoLerouX UniteD UXX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venerando Biñuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Venerando Biñuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes, União Verde FC's Vladimir Motta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruperto Alegria came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in União Verde FC reached it. Gilvan Pombal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ruperto Alegria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Machado Rois in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebeto de Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36th play minutes Laércio Damião shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Ruperto Alegria and just under the crossbar into goal. If Machado Rois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Machado Rois to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruperto Alegria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Damião in the 57th minute of the match. Bebeto de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Machado Rois in the 59th minute. In the 59th minute, Machado Rois left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RomoLerouX UniteD UXX fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. De-Jesús Sorrarain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Machado Rois hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Ferrer Lavin hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. RomoLerouX UniteD UXX's Ruperto Alegria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Damião in the 71st minute of play. Ruperto Alegria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Pombal in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, RomoLerouX UniteD UXX's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Damião came free, but Ruperto Alegria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Alegria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Pombal in the 75th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio Damião in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Alegria saved RomoLerouX UniteD UXX from getting behind. In the 84th minute Laércio Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Alegria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, União Verde FC's Gilvan Pombal made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Alegria was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Machado Rois came free, but Bebeto de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RomoLerouX UniteD UXX's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
