The União Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebeto de Salles should have stopped the shot. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Kerimhan Bürge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute Muharrem Kahveci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süreyya Yalım in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muharrem Kahveci in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bebeto de Salles saved União Verde FC from getting behind. After 15th play minutes Süreyya Yalım shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Bebeto de Salles and just under the crossbar into goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in União Verde FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Muharrem Kahveci, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of União Verde FC's Bebeto de Salles. 0-3. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind União Verde FC's goalkeeper Bebeto de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Süreyya Yalım's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bebeto de Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Muharrem Kahveci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto de Salles was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 33 minutes into the game, Süreyya Yalım cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Damião made a kick off. Muharrem Kahveci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto de Salles having to interfere. Bebeto de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süreyya Yalım in the 54th minute of play. Bebeto de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Süreyya Yalım, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bebeto de Salles came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Süreyya Yalım. But to his dismay, Süreyya Yalım quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. União Verde FC made a substitution. Duarte do Vale replaced Gil Paiva. After a rather tough play, União Verde FC's Benjamim Saldanha got a free kick in the 65th minute. Bebeto de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Ediz Turgut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Süreyya Yalım got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ made a substitution. Ulu Gürçınar replaced Sabit Tunçkurt. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Vefa Hadi was substituted for Süreyya Yalım. Bebeto de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vefa Hadi in the 70th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Muharrem Kahveci put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Bebeto de Salles. Vefa Hadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bebeto de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vefa Hadi in the 86th minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Vefa Hadi made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bebeto de Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Muharrem Kahveci got free in front of the goal in the 98th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Bebeto de Salles was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than União Verde FC.
