Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Randers A.F.C. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Kazak SK's Hans Uggstedt got a free kick in the 16th minute. Tom Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Steenbeck in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Randers A.F.C. got a corner. Kazak SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Radim Gola ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Radim Gola almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kazak SK's Tom Sandström did a great save. Nichlas Vesterdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davíð Diallo in the 20th minute of play. Bruno Steenbeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Sandström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Randers A.F.C. were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Kazak SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radim Gola took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Bruno Steenbeck managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davíð Diallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Bruno Steenbeck put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tom Sandström. Nichlas Vesterdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harseno Ekayana, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kazak SK's goalkeeper Tom Sandström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tom Sandström came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Randers A.F.C.'s Bruno Steenbeck. But to his dismay, Bruno Steenbeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 41 minutes into the match, Randers A.F.C.'s Bruno Steenbeck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Sandström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Kazak SK's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Steenbeck came free, but Tom Sandström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Steenbeck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Sandström having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Terri Bulk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Sandström having to make a save. With his leg Tom Sandström managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Randers A.F.C.'s Terri Bulk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harseno Ekayana in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Harseno Ekayana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Göran Holmberg fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kazak SK's protests and gave Göran Holmberg a yellow card for diving instead. Randers A.F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
