Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bruno Steenbeck started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nichlas Vesterdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Steenbeck in the 7th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nichlas Vesterdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Zielinski in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Boleslaw Zielinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyons's supporters rose to their feet, but Boleslaw Zielinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nichlas Vesterdahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Boleslaw Zielinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Boleslaw Zielinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Steenbeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisito Quinten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Wambasther Piqué hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Randers A.F.C. were awarded a corner. Alberto Dunixi went to the cornerflag to take it. Randers A.F.C.'s Arthur Shelby was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luisito Quinten in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 27th minute Bruno Steenbeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lyons getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marcos Berasko hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Steenbeck in the 31st minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Steenbeck in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Quinten saved Lyons from getting behind. A collision led to Randers A.F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Alberto Dunixi hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Boleslaw Zielinski made the kick off in the second half. If Børge Buhr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Bruno Steenbeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Joel Wiltshire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lyons made a substitution. Aurelio Vasco replaced Mario Chago. After 63 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Joel Wiltshire. Nichlas Vesterdahl made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Dariusz Roano sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Steenbeck in the 65th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Bruno Steenbeck made a precise shot to the right of Luisito Quinten. Lyons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Aurelio Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Nichlas Vesterdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nik Frisendal made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Terri Bulk. Luisito Quinten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Terri Bulk went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Lyons's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
