Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boleslaw Zielinski started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Boleslaw Zielinski made a precise shot to the right of Valerios Paboulis. Amfithea Hotspur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Boleslaw Zielinski took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valerios Paboulis. Valerios Paboulis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Boleslaw Zielinski might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valerios Paboulis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boleslaw Zielinski ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 24 minutes, Boleslaw Zielinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boleslaw Zielinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boleslaw Zielinski in the 26th minute of play forced Amfithea Hotspur's goalkeeper Valerios Paboulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Lyons's Luisito Quinten got control of the ball when Omiros Poulakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionysis Stamatiou in the 31st minute of play. Lyons's Luisito Quinten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Lyons from getting a goal against them. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marinos Valassakos in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Boleslaw Zielinski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Amfithea Hotspur's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Berasko came free, but Valerios Paboulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes Amfithea Hotspur's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Berasko who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dionysis Stamatiou was the one to do the kick off. Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionysis Stamatiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Boleslaw Zielinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyons's supporters rose to their feet, but Boleslaw Zielinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valerios Paboulis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisito Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinos Valassakos in the 58th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Zielinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valerios Paboulis was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos Psiloglou in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valerios Paboulis. That made the score 0-3 after 64 minutes of play. Lyons's Aurelio Vasco was substituted for Mario Chago. Valerios Paboulis was a little too slow when Dariusz Roano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 76th minute, Minas Tsirkos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aurelio Vasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valerios Paboulis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dariusz Roano's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After 85 played minutes Amfithea Hotspur got a freekick which was hit by Omiros Poulakis. Valerios Paboulis made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Dariusz Roano sent off a good shot on target. Marinos Valassakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Quinten having to interfere. Marcos Berasko hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute Marinos Valassakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Lyons could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Amfithea Hotspur throughout the match.
