The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Waldemar Zdrojowy with Sebastian Ekelund as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 9th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ranko Toko to maneuver through the defense. Hudson de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Valadares in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match, Chico Valadares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hudson de Carvalho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th match minute, MZetowe Mastodonty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Bronicki to maneuver through the defense. Hudson de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MZetowe Mastodonty's Hudson de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save MZetowe Mastodonty from getting a goal against them. Chico Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. MZetowe Mastodonty's Hudson de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Valadares in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Valadares in the 42nd minute of play forced MZetowe Mastodonty's goalkeeper Hudson de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson de Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Chico Valadares sent off a good shot on target. After the first half MZetowe Mastodonty were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Ekelund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, MZetowe Mastodonty's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Valadares came free, but Hudson de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Ekelund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ronaldo Giovanelli made a huge save. When Galo do Japi's Chico Valadares in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dagoberto Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dagoberto Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 87 minutes into the game, Sebastian Ekelund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ronaldo Giovanelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 minutes, Nuno Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galo do Japi and the MZetowe Mastodonty players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of MZetowe Mastodonty booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Galo do Japi defense, Sebastian Ekelund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo Giovanelli. The Galo do Japi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo Giovanelli should have stopped the shot.
