Takis Gonatas started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Αστέρας Δερβενίου's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Kalivrousis came free, but Savas Ignatiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savas Ignatiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Telakis in the 7th minute of play. Theodosis Chronis took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikos Tournas. Nikos Tournas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Dhafnospiliá BC's Takis Gonatas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Savas Ignatiou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute Stavros Prasinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savas Ignatiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Takis Gonatas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Savas Ignatiou. Savas Ignatiou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Savas Ignatiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Guijarro in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Nicasio Guijarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dhafnospiliá BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Ntinos Kapotas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 32nd minute, Akakios Kazantzidis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Αστέρας Δερβενίου fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Nikos Tournas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theodosis Chronis went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Savas Ignatiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Guijarro in the 37th minute of the match. The corner led to Dhafnospiliá BC's Benne Bruynincx getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Savas Ignatiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Telakis in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Nicasio Guijarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savas Ignatiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Dhafnospiliá BC's Petros Kalivrousis made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Savas Ignatiou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Savas Ignatiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stavros Prasinos in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-3. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Αστέρας Δερβενίου booed when Dhafnospiliá BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simos Nestoriadis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sakis Matzios kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodosis Chronis in the 55th minute of play forced Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petros Kalivrousis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Savas Ignatiou made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Dhafnospiliá BC's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Vrazilianos came free, but Nikos Tournas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savas Ignatiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Kalivrousis in the 72nd minute of the match. Nikos Tournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodosis Chronis in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filippos Kourabies during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petros Kalivrousis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Savas Ignatiou made a huge save. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Savas Ignatiou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Αστέρας Δερβενίου from getting a goal against them. Savas Ignatiou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petros Kalivrousis in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Akakios Kazantzidis in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikos Tournas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the game, Panos Telakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dhafnospiliá BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Αστέρας Δερβενίου the free kick. A collision led to Dhafnospiliá BC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Panos Telakis hit a great ball. Αστέρας Δερβενίου were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dhafnospiliá BC for a fine match.
