FORTALEZA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Egor Zabarenko in the 26th minute. Xorxe Viguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodosis Chronis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Savas Ignatiou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 48 minutes into the game, Ntinos Kapotas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xorxe Viguera. Ntinos Kapotas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Theodosis Chronis made the kick off in the second half. FORTALEZA's Xorxe Viguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodosis Chronis in the 53rd minute of play. When Oleg Mironov fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FORTALEZA's protests and gave Oleg Mironov a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Mironov.
