Fabian Arendarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry McCray in the 10th minute of the match. Fabian Arendarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry McCray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Barry McCray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Arendarski was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Toni Kroos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fabian Arendarski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Modlau's goalkeeper Lew Yashin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Scislowicz. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Modlau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laureano Guipuzkoa took the corner. The corner led Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Laureano Guipuzkoa to fire away a dangerous shot which Lew Yashin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lew Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Kon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Barry McCray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Arendarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Arendarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ortle Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Roman Kon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Lew Yashin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roman Kon in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Karol Biskupiak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Lew Yashin made a huge save. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Modlau's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Laureano Guipuzkoa was slow to take the kick. During this time Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's players had a chance to rest. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Laureano Guipuzkoa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lew Yashin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Otto Alberg kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Damazy Jucha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lew Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karol Biskupiak in the 45th minute.

After a rather tough play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Ömür Seyfeddin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Fabian Arendarski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömür Seyfeddin in the 57th minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Lew Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Zagłębie Dąbrowskie got a corner. Modlau's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laureano Guipuzkoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömür Seyfeddin in the 61st minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Lew Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Kon in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lew Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Roman Kon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Kroos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. After 79 played minutes Zagłębie Dąbrowskie got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Jankowski. Fabian Arendarski made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Damazy Jucha sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goal looked a bit too open when Barry McCray came free, but Fabian Arendarski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lew Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Scislowicz in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Modlau players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
