With a little luck, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Nilton Lira got control of the ball when Lucas Haimar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Nilton Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Ruy in the 10th minute of play. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Václav Filipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Mikolas in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute Maximino Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Jose Chale could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Nilton Lira however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lisandro Mikolas in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Václav Filipi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the game, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Jose Chale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilton Lira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nilton Lira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Haimar went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Adrián Czornomaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Václav Filipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Mikolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Ruy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Václav Filipi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrián Czornomaz in the 36th minute of play. Jose Chale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Nilton Lira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Jose Chale was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 41st minute, Justo Muno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilton Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Muno in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilton Lira saved Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. from getting behind. Justo Muno got in the 45th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Nilton Lira handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Nereo Inge was substituted for Aaron Hegoi. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Chale to make the kick off. Nilton Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Muno, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lisandro Mikolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Carneiro lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.! The referee gave ATLETICO MENDOZA a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. In the 80th minute Jose Chale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Abdul in the 82nd minute of play forced Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalkeeper Nilton Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
