The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Beti came free, but Atahan Balon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Tab struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Atahan Balon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fracasados. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theagenis Papageorgiou in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. Fracasados's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rainier Gregoire in the 21st minute. A nice corner shot did that Radoslav Pindzhurov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Atahan Balon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With his leg Mai Yao Yao managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Los Muchachos del 86's Ricardo-Enrique Bochini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini got free with Mai Yao Yao in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mai Yao Yao didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Ciro Tab scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atahan Balon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Los Muchachos del 86 booed when Fracasados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Tab didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saverio Brion made a kick off. A collision led to Fracasados getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mai Yao Yao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo-Enrique Bochini's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Fracasados defense, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mai Yao Yao. The Fracasados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mai Yao Yao should have stopped the shot.
