In the 41st minute, Sven-Edvin Dalgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Curcio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sven-Edvin Dalgren made the kick off in the second half. The Racing Club fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Racing Club's Sven-Edvin Dalgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After taking down the ball on Yala's corner Alberto Jaunti fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Raymond quite easily take care of the ball. Sven-Edvin Dalgren scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Curcio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Nisio in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Antonio Ubarna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Zeledon Curcio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Zacarias Rik hit a great ball. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Jaunti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Curcio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Yala booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Triboi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Feo charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Feo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Feo to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Edvin Dalgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Curcio having to interfere. There was no doubt that Racing Club were the better team. Racing Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
