Feliberto Ipar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Feo in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Valentine came free, but Feliberto Ipar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Valentine in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Santiago Feo hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Zeca Fernandez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Yala's Zeledon Curcio. Zeledon Curcio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zeca Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Zeledon Curcio made a huge save. In the 27th minute Prospero Perico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Curcio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Perico in the 32nd minute of play. Freddy Valentine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zeledon Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Feo came free, but Feliberto Ipar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yala's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Zeca Fernandez scored to the left of an out of position Zeledon Curcio, making the score, 2-0. Zeledon Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Perico in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Efraim came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57thth minute of the game Freddy Valentine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 58 minutes Lobos de Carelia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Jaunti who took care of the corner kick. Yala's Alberto Jaunti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Feliberto Ipar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Perico in the 62nd minute of play. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Perico in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Yala's Generoso Pinto got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lobos de Carelia's Prospero Inguma was substituted for Prospero Perico. The supporters of Lobos de Carelia booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Lobos de Carelia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Freddy Valentine fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Carolo Bizen fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yala's protests and gave Carolo Bizen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute Chiquito Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Curcio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Fernandez in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Lobos de Carelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Sá to maneuver through the defense. If Igor Hats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lobos de Carelia had played much better football throughout.
