Cristian Urtzi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Los Muchachos del 86's Cristian Urtzi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zeledon Curcio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Pello to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Yala's goalkeeper Zeledon Curcio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. Yala's Zeledon Curcio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Yala from getting a goal against them. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Zeledon Curcio made a huge save. A collision led to Los Muchachos del 86 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Erubiel Txaran hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Saverio Brion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zeledon Curcio. Saverio Brion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Hats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Asiz Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yala's goalkeeper Zeledon Curcio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
