Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edin Džeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Falcão Mendonça hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nova Erechim - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cesinha Leme hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Marcel Barral took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for José Pedro de Godoi to make any attempt to save it. Pura Arte F.C's Hamílton Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 minutes Pura Arte F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Miranda who took care of the corner kick. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's João Miranda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hamílton Travassos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Falcão Mendonça made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Pura Arte F.C got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Matos. A hard shot 54 in the game by Régis Mello from a close distance when the talented Hamílton Travassos managed to make a qualified save. Pura Arte F.C's players were relieved.
