After some careless play in the Compostela FSCMZ defense, Tomás Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Miranda. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 66 minutes Compostela FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lenílson Nascimento who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Lenílson Nascimento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Compostela FSCMZ's Virgílio Miranda did a great save. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
