But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Geniatulin couldn't finish the play. Diego Quadros scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olívio Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Túlio Geniatulin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Olívio Reis, 2-0. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Froilan Dolcet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Nascimento in the 23rd minute of play.
