With his leg Fernandão Penha managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when SORRISO E. C.'s Ryszard Iwanowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Iwanowski in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Iwanowski came free, but Fernandão Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Salles in the 27th minute of play. Fernandão Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gil Cearense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernandão Penha having to make a save. Fernandão Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryszard Iwanowski's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Francisco de Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castanheiro SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Francisco de Godoi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Fernandão Penha was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Gil Cearense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gil Cearense really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Caco Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Salles in the 42nd minute of play. Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Iwanowski in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Fernandão Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Iwanowski in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Ryszard Iwanowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jeferson Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Iwanowski came free, but Fernandão Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Carlinhos Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caco Azevedo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jeferson Mandrak. In the 74th minute, Jeferson Mandrak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caco Azevedo. The goal made the score 1-1. Ryszard Iwanowski succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. After 83 minutes of play Castanheiro SC's Kauan Rezende was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SORRISO E. C.'s Gil Cearense tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jeferson Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Caco Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Iwanowski.
