In the 8thth minute of the game Patrick Heidemann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edinho Pirani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edinho Pirani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Heidemann FC - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Betão Xavier took the corner. Zeca de Sena was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 20th minute, Luiz Fabiano Orange ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos Paraíba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Heidemann FC - FSCMZ booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Hudson de Godoi in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Betão Xavier. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edinho Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Heidemann in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Campidelis came free, but João Carlos Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betinho Pires hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match Luiz Fabiano Orange shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Carlos Paraíba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Katarínus Orange in the 38th minute of play forced Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Carlos Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fabiano Orange took the corner. Luiz Fabiano Orange made a great header on Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Paraíba managed to reach the ball for a save. Rubens Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Xavier came free, but Edinho Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Heidemann to strike the kick off in the second half. João Carlos Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Campideliss short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got João Carlos Paraíba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 59th minute, Anderson Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Heidemann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Patrick Heidemann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Edinho Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's zone, Vitório Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Paraíba came out of the goal and Vitório Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Heidemann FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Kiko de Souza. The crowd rose to their feet as Vitório Campidelis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Carlos Paraíba. That made the score 1-2 in the 76 minute of play. When Betão Xavier fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's protests and gave Betão Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. Betão Xavier hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Patrick Heidemann in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Edinho Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Heidemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Patrick Heidemann put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edinho Pirani. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
