An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Machado in the 3rd minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edinho Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 3 minutes of play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thiago Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Pirani having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Machado in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edinho Pirani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edinho Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Waldemar Baptista made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcos Monteiro however managed to control. 22 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano Orange lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Alvaro Rudolfo. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Marquez Padolles got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Campidelis in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thiago Machado in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edinho Pirani saved Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ from getting behind. If Thiago Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Evaristo Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fabiano Orange. After 47 minutes, Marquez Padolles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coritiba Foot Ball Club and the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Katarínus Orange was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Machado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Edinho Pirani when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Katarínus Orange in the 57th minute of the match. Thiago Machado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Edinho Pirani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Dracena hit a great ball. After 67 minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fabiano Orange who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Luiz Fabiano Orange to fire away a dangerous shot which Alvaro Rudolfo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edinho Pirani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edinho Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Coritiba Foot Ball Club's corner Daniel Garcia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edinho Pirani quite easily take care of the ball. Marquez Padolles kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Hudson de Godoi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Márk Sári quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 85 played minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Gargasz. Edinho Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Garcia in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Márk Sári got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edinho Pirani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's zone, Thiago Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Pirani came out of the goal and Thiago Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 played minutes Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hudson de Godoi.
