Claudio Jaen kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Padrón 1744's goalkeeper Lino Ganix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nemesio Sazon. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Albino Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Jaen in the 17th minute of play. Albino Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Foro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Sazon in the 21st minute of play forced Padrón 1744's goalkeeper Lino Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albino Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Castulo in the 22nd minute of play. Union Madereros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Gelmiro to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Jaen came free, but Albino Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Padrón 1744 were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Sazon was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Castulo got free with Albino Maldonado in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Padrón 1744's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
