Herbert Henskens started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Henskens in the 3rd minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Henskens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldo Giovanelli having to make a save. After some careless play in the Apocalípticos & Caóticos defense, Paulo Renato Saraiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erasmo Loi. The Apocalípticos & Caóticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erasmo Loi should have stopped the shot. If Carlos Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo Loi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Santana in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Santana got free with Erasmo Loi in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Erasmo Loi got control of the ball when Carlos Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Herbert Henskens heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Erasmo Loi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva in the 41st minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Fernando Gamus was substituted for Rodrigo Platon. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eymen Kakisim made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edelmiro Taurino immediately put the ball in play. In the 57th minute Herbert Henskens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Giovanelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Henskens in the 57th minute of the match. Erasmo Loi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Santana in the 59th minute of the match. If Herbert Henskens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Taurino in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Gamus got free with Ronaldo Giovanelli in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erasmo Loi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Santana in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Apocalípticos & Caóticos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cafu Ringaa was slow to take the kick. During this time Galo do Japi's players had a chance to rest. When Edelmiro Taurino came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Apocalípticos & Caóticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Taurino couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Edelmiro Taurino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldo Giovanelli. Ronaldo Giovanelli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Jonatan Rolfsson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Galo do Japi's zone, Herbert Henskens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Giovanelli came out of the goal and Herbert Henskens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Ronaldo Giovanelli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ronaldo Giovanelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Taurino's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Erasmo Loi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Apocalípticos & Caóticos booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli got control of the ball when Fernando Gamus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Gamus struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ronaldo Giovanelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apocalípticos & Caóticos. A collision led to Galo do Japi getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. César dos Santos hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Galo do Japi could leave the field as winners, despite Apocalípticos & Caóticos having more of the ball for most of the match.
