In the 24thth minute of the game Darryl Buckner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Peixoto in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Froylan got free with Angel Neto in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darryl Buckner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Neto having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Peixoto came free, but Victoriano Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darryl Buckner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Angel Neto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 39th minute of play. Darryl Buckner struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Angel Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep Colonia Avellaneda. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Darryl Buckner sped through Beto Martini MZ 20 years's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angel Neto. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Beto Martini MZ 20 years booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 92nd minute, Walter San Juan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amancio Mitxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beto Martini MZ 20 years had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
