After 12 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Horst-Peter Unterberger. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartosz Erland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Poli Timisoara's Sascha Kulovitz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute Los Trip were awarded a corner. CJ Asensio went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Horst-Peter Unterberger hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Bruno Capello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal and Bruno Capello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute Tiger De Hond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mauro Primeiro made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Primeiro got free with Agustín Rossi in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiger De Hond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Agustín Rossi made a huge save. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca replaced Bruno Capello. Ovidiu Adrian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca in the 93rd minute of play. Los Trip were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Poli Timisoara for a fine match.
