With a little luck, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo got control of the ball when Aurelio Rivas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Montes Quevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute Mariano Silbestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montes Quevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montes Quevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Silbestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Aurelio Rivas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aurelio Rivas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Victoriano Bernaldo made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, Fetiyerd's Aurelio Rivas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Bernaldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Montes Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Rosa in the 30th minute of play. If Darryl Buckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aurelio Rivas sent off a good shot on target. When Aurelio Rivas fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fetiyerd's protests and gave Aurelio Rivas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dep Colonia Avellaneda booed when Fetiyerd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonin Leroyer hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The Fetiyerd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dep Colonia Avellaneda were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darryl Buckner was the one to do the kick off. Montes Quevedo was a little too slow when Mariano Silbestre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 61st minute Aurelio Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Rivas in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Rivas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Bernaldo having to make a save. In the 71st minute, Aurelio Rivas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Bernaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 77th minute of play forced Fetiyerd's goalkeeper Montes Quevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aurelio Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Fetiyerd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Rivas couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Rivas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Bernaldo having to make a save. In the 91st minute of the match, Leopoldo Rosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Montes Quevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mohamed Castelao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Victoriano Bernaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
