Leopoldo Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Lampe having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Mariano Silbestre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Lampe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Siro Froylan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Mikolaj Giertych sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Bernaldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Leopoldo Rosa got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Mikolaj Giertych cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Victoriano Bernaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Giertych, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Carlos Lampe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Claude hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikolaj Giertych in the 31st minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikolaj Giertych might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Bernaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikolaj Giertych ran back to his position shaking his head. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Giertych in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a corner. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leopoldo Rosa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Leopoldo Rosa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Lampe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s attentive Baldomiro Dodorol managed to snatch the ball when Pascual Lesardo made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Mikolaj Giertych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Mikolaj Giertych took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Victoriano Bernaldo to make any attempt to save it. In the 48th minute, Iago 郭嘉 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ..Villa Rugby Club.. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikolaj Giertych stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mikolaj Giertych might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Bernaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikolaj Giertych ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute Mikolaj Giertych shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dep Colonia Avellaneda's zone, Mikolaj Giertych stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal and Mikolaj Giertych tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Giertych in the 60th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Dep Colonia Avellaneda defense, Mikolaj Giertych kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. ..Villa Rugby Club.. made a substitution. Carlos Saúl Menem replaced Mikolaj Giertych. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Carlos Saúl Menem managed to get in a good position for a shot. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Saúl Menem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Bernaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Saúl Menem went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Carlos Saúl Menem made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 90th minute, Carlos Saúl Menem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Bernaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Saúl Menem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Carlos Saúl Menem. But to his dismay, Carlos Saúl Menem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dep Colonia Avellaneda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
