With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rich Durbridge in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustín Rossi saved Los Trip from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Bruno Capello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Péter Mészáros. Csabagyöngye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Capello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Los Trip's Teodoro Munhoz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Kovács in the 26th minute of play. Agustín Rossi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but János Kovács showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 27 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when János Kovács came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Bruno Capello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the game, Jacinto Frasquito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Trip's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Csabagyöngye the free kick. Jacinto Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The long shot by Rich Durbridge in the 43rd minute really tested Agustín Rossi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Los Trip from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Fabelo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustín Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Capello was the one to do the kick off. Róbert Dömötör sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Fabelo in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by János Kovács in the 70th minute of play forced Los Trip's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Bruno Capello took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Péter Mészáros to make any attempt to save it. Csabagyöngye's Conrado Saraiva was substituted for Gabriel Fabelo. Los Trip made a substitution. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca replaced Bruno Capello.
