Nilson Dracena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubaldo Cordarell went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. BAC Belgrano de Cba's Efrain Filipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Medeiros in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jano do Vale hit a great ball. Nilson Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Salvino in the 36th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Filipo was a little too slow when Oswaldo Godoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-1. 42 minutes into the game, SE Palmeiras's Christiano Baiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efrain Filipo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Medeiros made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Jano do Vale got a free kick in the 51st minute. Ubaldo Cordarell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Nilson Dracena made a huge save. In the 62nd minute Christiano Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Filipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efrain Filipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Donatello in the 65th minute of play. Damian Fanuco's late challenge caught a SE Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Fanuco helped the player get up and apologised. Efrain Filipo came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros. But to his dismay, Abelardo Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Natanael Paraense hit a great ball. Efrain Filipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 81 minutes into the match, BAC Belgrano de Cba's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Medeiros came free, but Efrain Filipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Cordarell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Nilson Dracena made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Abelardo Medeiros notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of BAC Belgrano de Cba's Efrain Filipo. Efrain Filipo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. BAC Belgrano de Cba's Rafael Salvino got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. BAC Belgrano de Cba's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
