After 8 minutes, Árpád Benkô mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Csabagyöngye and the La Zabaleta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Csabagyöngye's Árpád Benkô got a free kick in the 8th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Árpád Benkô in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Zabaleta's Isidro Adrio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers István Zolnai in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelino Raulo saved La Zabaleta from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, Isidro Adrio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jakab Kováts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Vladimiro Eguerdi came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the La Zabaleta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimiro Eguerdi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Zolnai in the 28th minute of play forced La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Angelino Raulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Isidro Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Zabaleta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Adrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano Martxot charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Martxot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Csabagyöngye booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Martxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márton Ludas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelino Raulo. La Zabaleta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angelino Raulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flórián Váczi, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Márton Ludas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Martxot made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Csabagyöngye's Árpád Benkô. In the 43rd minute, István Zolnai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Csabagyöngye fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

The wind increased when Isidro Adrio made the kick off in the second half. István Zolnai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Angelino Raulo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Angelino Raulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by István Zolnai. Generoso Nerio's late challenge caught a Csabagyöngye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Nerio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, La Zabaleta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Nerio to maneuver through the defense. Márton Ludas struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Angelino Raulo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Csabagyöngye. 74 minutes into the match, István Zolnai notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of La Zabaleta's Angelino Raulo. Angelino Raulo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 1-3 when István Zolnai sped through La Zabaleta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelino Raulo. If István Zolnai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, La Zabaleta's Angelino Raulo got control of the ball when István Zolnai tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Csabagyöngye's Zsombor Mester nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Raulo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Isidro Adrio's late challenge caught a Csabagyöngye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Adrio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to La Zabaleta getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Isidro Adrio hit a great ball. The Csabagyöngye supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Csabagyöngye would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
