Carlos Fernendo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Manel Villa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Gilabert's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Miguel Gilabert made a precise shot to the right of Manel Villa. Stronghold S.A's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Andy Claes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Manel Villa. Eske Aksel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remigio Urdaspal in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eske Aksel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Amilcar Gomez came free, but Eske Aksel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amilcar Gomez got free with Eske Aksel in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The corner ended in Alfred Baxter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stronghold S.A's Manel Villa did a great save. Eske Aksel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amilcar Gomez in the 66th minute of play. Andy Claes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Hibai. Eske Aksel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amilcar Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Amilcar Gomez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Eske Aksel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 78 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Andy Claes.
