An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 13th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxim Tsigalko might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Bernaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxim Tsigalko ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxim Tsigalko. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maxim Tsigalko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Pascual Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Maxim Tsigalko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victoriano Bernaldo. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Nicanor Izel with Florencio Carlomagno as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 26th minute Maxim Tsigalko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 28th minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Vince Di Cola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxim Tsigalkos short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Victoriano Bernaldo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 31 in the game by Maxim Tsigalko from a close distance when the talented Victoriano Bernaldo managed to make a qualified save. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's players were relieved. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Dep Colonia Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. After 40 minutes, Maxim Tsigalko made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Wu Qi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samurai's supporters rose to their feet, but Wu Qi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicanor Izel made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Samurai's Cafu Dolar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maxim Tsigalko to make the kick off. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim Tsigalko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vince Di Cola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Silbestre in the 62nd minute. When Wu Qi came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Samurai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wu Qi couldn't finish the play. Samurai's Timmy Henriksson was substituted for Wu Qi. Samurai made a substitution. Åke Hamnberg replaced Hernán Grana. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxim Tsigalko in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victoriano Bernaldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Despite this Victoriano Bernaldo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Samurai's Maxim Tsigalko. But to his dismay, Maxim Tsigalko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Vince Di Cola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 94th minute of play. Samurai's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
