In the 24th minute Danny Boy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SimuV3's Altay Ulgu got control of the ball when Matthias Bern tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Liu Kun Zhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of G A I S booed when SimuV3 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthias Bern got free with Altay Ulgu in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sixten Ståhlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Altay Ulgu made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Göran Wahlström sent off a good shot on target. Staffan Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Boy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Silvano Francho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Danny Boy made the kick off in the second half. SimuV3's Altay Ulgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Bern in the 57th minute of play. Matthias Bern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SimuV3's Saul Godoy was substituted for Danny Boy. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Matthias Bern managed to get in a good position for a shot. G A I S's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Bern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Altay Ulgu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
