The audience thought a goal was coming when Hanley Morrison got free with Armando Casomiro in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Casimiro Villanueva came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Club Atlético Univ. UASD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Villanueva couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Villanueva made a kick off. Armando Casomiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanley Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Club Atlético Univ. UASD were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Atlético Rovesco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Casimiro Villanueva took the corner. After 62 played minutes Atlético Rovesco got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Nabar. If Casimiro Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Vinicio García got a free kick in the 70th minute. Fulgencio Ciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Yánez Aldaeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulgencio Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Furtado struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Yánez Aldaeta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Rovesco. Armando Casomiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Villanueva in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's goalkeeper Yánez Aldaeta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Ciano. In the 89th match minute, Atlético Rovesco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Admon to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Luciano Admon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Rovesco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Univ. UASD the free kick. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Nuno Viegas was substituted for Casimiro Villanueva. Luciano Admon kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Club Atlético Univ. UASD were the better team. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
