Timo Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Rezende in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Merlot in the 17th minute of play forced Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's goalkeeper Tiago Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Anselmo Cabral in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SSV Ulm 1846's Benedetto Prüfer. 20 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Arósio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Don Merlot scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiago Arósio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Don Merlot made the kick off in the second half. Don Merlot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. The supporters of SSV Ulm 1846 booed when Leão STAND BY FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Don Merlot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Tiago Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiago Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SSV Ulm 1846 played a much better game than Leão STAND BY FSCMZ and deserved their victory. The Leão STAND BY FSCMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
