The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arman Lundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Rudqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute of the match Söderbröder got a corner. StraX Xenon FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valentin Åström ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 9th minute Mark Bohlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Vestlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Edvin Karlsson scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Per-Åke Vestlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 minutes of play, StraX Xenon FC's Adam Ahlberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Åke Vestlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! StraX Xenon FC's Arman Lundström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save StraX Xenon FC from getting a goal against them. Söderbröder's Per-Åke Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Sjöberg in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, StraX Xenon FC's Sven-Edvin Karlsson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Åke Vestlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Söderbröder's Per-Åke Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Ahlberg in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Sven-Edvin Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Vestlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Åke Vestlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Karlsson in the 34th minute of play. Arman Lundström was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Paul Martinsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paul Martinsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Per-Åke Vestlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Ahlberg in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Adam Ahlberg made a precise shot to the right of Per-Åke Vestlund. Söderbröder's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kennet Rudqvist made a kick off. When Anders Sjöberg came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the StraX Xenon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anders Sjöberg couldn't finish the play. Adam Ahlberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Per-Åke Vestlund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sven-Edvin Karlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Per-Åke Vestlund made a huge save. With an all-out effort, StraX Xenon FC's Per-Åke Vestlund threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adam Ahlberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 58th minute Kennet Rudqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arman Lundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Åke Vestlund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Calle Örnberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Per-Åke Vestlund firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 90th minute, Eric Petersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Sonny Vik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
