Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Valadares in the 13th minute. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Valadares in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Valadares in the 19th minute of play forced Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Urbasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Adalberto Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Rosa got free with Nery Pumpido in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yo Soy Tu Padre's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Yo Soy Tu Padre from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the game, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Edmundo Ramalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nery Pumpido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 33 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Lizer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yo Soy Tu Padre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave O MOTIVO ⚽ the free kick. Ermegildo Lizer kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Waldir Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Raimundo Millán was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yo Soy Tu Padre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave O MOTIVO ⚽ the free kick. The supporters of O MOTIVO ⚽ booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Millán didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nery Pumpido made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Eduardo Valadares sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Dida Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermegildo Lizer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adalberto Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Urbasa in the 45th minute of the match. Ermegildo Lizer kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Elder Guimarães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Yo Soy Tu Padre were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Chaime to make the kick off. If Filomeno Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Ramalho came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Massa got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmundo Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nery Pumpido having to interfere. When Edmundo Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the O MOTIVO ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Ramalho in the 76th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Ramalho came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Edmundo Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the O MOTIVO ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 石耀亦 during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Calleri kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Edmundo Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Nery Pumpido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O MOTIVO ⚽. Yo Soy Tu Padre's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Ramalho in the 87th minute of play. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Rosa in the 94th minute of play. When Waldir Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O MOTIVO ⚽'s protests and gave Waldir Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes O MOTIVO ⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Matorin. Although O MOTIVO ⚽ had been in control for most of the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre still came away with the win.
