Álvaro Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Alex Frasca made a huge save. Alex Frasca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Gaspar went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute Josué Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Frasca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, VARGINHA FC's Josué Paiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Frasca. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Josué Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Frasca. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Frasca should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes in the game, Josué Paiva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alex Frasca having to interfere.
