The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nereo Artal kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Artemio Rik struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Amílton Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter MIAMI. Yan Penha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mariano Cortez came out and tried to block the shot, but Yan Penha slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Yan Penha succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Mariano Cortez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yan Penha went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Andrew Murillo got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 5-0 in the right cross in the 22nd match minute before Mariano Cortez had time to react. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Murillo got free with Mariano Cortez in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Yan Penha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mariano Cortez. That made the score 6-0 in the 26 minute of play. Yan Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mariano Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Cesinha Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. O MOTIVO ⚽'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nereo Artal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Peixoto having to interfere. When Ubaldo Hartz came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Inter MIAMI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Hartz couldn't finish the play. Andrew Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Mariano Cortez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 45 minutes into the game, Yan Penha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Cortez. Yan Penha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 8-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubaldo Hartz to make the kick off. Mariano Cortez came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by O MOTIVO ⚽'s Yan Penha. But to his dismay, Yan Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Mariano Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Murillo in the 58th minute of play. Daniel Bertoni scored 11-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mariano Cortez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 65 minutes of play, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Daniel Bertoni made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Cortez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69thth minute of the game Andrew Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter MIAMI's Mariano Cortez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A collision led to Inter MIAMI getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Adolfo Bautista hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Andrew Murillo notched a goal, 13-0, to the right of Inter MIAMI's Mariano Cortez. Mariano Cortez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 75 minutes into the game, Daniel Bertoni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 14-0. Mariano Cortez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yan Penha in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Cortez saved Inter MIAMI from getting behind. Yan Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mariano Cortez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Mariano Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Murillo in the 91st minute of the match. Inter MIAMI's Mariano Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Matorin in the 96th minute of play.
