The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Francis got free with Denis Paulin in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Lionel-Andrés Messi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When Lionel-Andrés Messi got free in front of the goal in the 37th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. In the 81st match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Pirro to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Pirro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Monclús in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Paulin saved Defensores de Lombroso from getting behind. Godfredo Gau was slow to take the kick. During this time Defensores de Lombroso's players had a chance to rest.
