The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uriel Ferrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. After 13 minutes Cha Fe FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Godfredo Gau who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Godfredo Gau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elvio Pacho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Teobaldo Phelipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Denis Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lionel-Andrés Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Gau struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Elvio Pacho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Lombroso. In the 32nd minute Uriel Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Pacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uriel Ferrer in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Pacho saved Cha Fe FC from getting behind. After 33 minutes, Uriel Ferrer made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cha Fe FC's Elvio Pacho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Xavi Iniesta was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Ferrer in the 39th minute of play forced Cha Fe FC's goalkeeper Elvio Pacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Defensores de Lombroso's Amadeo Raebert was substituted for Roman Riquelme. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Atarrabi in the 95th minute of play. The Defensores de Lombroso players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
