The audience was convinced that Alessio Borrelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Clis was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, Imperio Académico's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Borrelli came free, but Adrian Clis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Dani Cáceres could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Adrian Clis however easily saved by the left post. Los Delfines were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Imperio Académico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciriaco Selmo took the corner. A collision led to Imperio Académico getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jesus Quiroga hit a great ball. Ciriaco Selmo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Adrian Clis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Delfines. In the 15th minute Hilario Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Patrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Adrian Clis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Ciriaco Selmo got a free kick in the 18th minute. Adrian Clis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessio Borrelli in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Tab came free, but Matías Patrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Luciano Vidal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Delfines's Matías Patrone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imperio Académico's Adrian Clis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Borrelli in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Imperio Académico defense, Alessio Borrelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Clis. The Imperio Académico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Clis should have stopped the shot. Matías Patrone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Jerrold in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Jerrold in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matías Patrone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Delfines's Matías Patrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Jerrold in the 42nd minute of play. Los Delfines's Dani Cáceres quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jesus Quiroga, made in the 44th minute of the game. After having played for 48 minutes, Ismael Jerrold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imperio Académico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Jerrold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessio Borrelli to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Alessio Borrelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Clis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes Imperio Académico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciriaco Selmo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ambrosio Bartolome heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 57th minute Los Delfines were awarded a corner. Ciriaco Selmo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ciriaco Selmo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Imperio Académico's Adrian Clis did a great save. A nice corner shot did that Ciriaco Selmo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adrian Clis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Delfines's Victor Jerrold was substituted for Ambrosio Bartolome. Imperio Académico's Amador Igon was substituted for Luciano Vidal. Los Delfines made a substitution. Lucas Urbez replaced Alessio Borrelli. Matías Patrone made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Godfredo Louis sent off a good shot on target. Imperio Académico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carl Beck in the 68th minute. A nice corner shot did that Carl Beck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matías Patrone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 70 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's Lucas Urbez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrian Clis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Imperio Académico were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Los Delfines's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carl Beck took the corner. Lucas Urbez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrian Clis having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Imperio Académico's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Urbez came free, but Adrian Clis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Imperio Académico's Adrian Clis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Urbez in the 83rd minute of play. Adrian Clis came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Delfines's Lucas Urbez. But to his dismay, Lucas Urbez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Imperio Académico's Jesus Quiroga got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Urbez in the 93rd minute of play forced Imperio Académico's goalkeeper Adrian Clis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goalkeeper Matías Patrone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Louis. In the 96th minute Lucas Urbez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Clis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imperio Académico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Delfines had won, even though Imperio Académico had held more of the ball.
