Santa Margarita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marciano Mundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Selmo to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Delfines's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eduardo De Francesco was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Margarita's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Santa Margarita's Eduardo De Francesco to fire away a dangerous shot which Matías Patrone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Matías Patrone made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Gerardo Lordi sent off a good shot on target. Pontus Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Bartolome, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute.
