A collision led to the xeneise dream team getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Habil Castolo hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the game, the xeneise dream team's Habil Castolo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Paulin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Ferrer in the 9th minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Sabin Pânzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Paulin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qian Cheng Xing's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Denis Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qian Cheng Xing in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in the xeneise dream team's zone, Godfredo Gau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabin Pânzaru came out of the goal and Godfredo Gau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Qian Cheng Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match, Lucio Gabino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Denis Paulin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 20 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's Lionel-Andrés Messi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sabin Pânzaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qian Cheng Xing in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Paulin saved Defensores de Lombroso from getting behind. Lionel-Andrés Messi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sabin Pânzaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabin Pânzaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Ferrer, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Juan Simon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Habil Castolo could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Denis Paulin however easily saved by the left post. Habil Castolo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Denis Paulin made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Pânzaru saved the xeneise dream team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lionel-Andrés Messi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lionel-Andrés Messi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabin Pânzaru was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Denis Paulin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by the xeneise dream team's Qian Cheng Xing. But to his dismay, Qian Cheng Xing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 58thth minute of the game Qian Cheng Xing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Zula Osielski in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Defensores de Lombroso's Godfredo Gau. Sabin Pânzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habil Castolo in the 64th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Denis Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Lionel-Andrés Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sabin Pânzaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabin Pânzaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 71st play minute Lionel-Andrés Messi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sabin Pânzaru. 2-2. the xeneise dream team's Paolo Eutor was substituted for Qian Cheng Xing. Defensores de Lombroso's Valentín Barco was substituted for Lucio Cordarrol. Federico Pirro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Pânzaru having to interfere. Sabin Pânzaru came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Lombroso's Celso Sauveur. But to his dismay, Celso Sauveur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The audience was convinced that Paolo Eutor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Paulin was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Habil Castolo struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Denis Paulin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for the xeneise dream team. Denis Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute Habil Castolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The the xeneise dream team manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Defensores de Lombroso to win.
