In the 7thth minute of the game Alessio Borrelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matías Patrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Alessio Borrelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Matías Patrone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the game, Alessio Borrelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Borrelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Delfines's Matías Patrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Gabon in the 40th minute of play. Los Delfines's Alessio Borrelli got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessio Borrelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Borrelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Alessio Borrelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Esteban Iztal in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Los Delfines's Ciriaco Selmo. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. A collision led to Los Delfines getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ciriaco Selmo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Los Delfines defense, Elpidio Francis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Patrone. The Los Delfines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Patrone should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's zone, Lucas Urbez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Branislav Velchevski came out of the goal and Lucas Urbez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Los Delfines had won after a very even match.
