In the 2nd match minute, O MOTIVO ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Matorin in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emili Lean in the 8th minute of play forced Inter MIAMI's goalkeeper Mariano Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Hartz might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erivaldo Hermes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Hartz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 19 played minutes Inter MIAMI got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Bautista. In the 20th play minute Oswaldo Rosa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mariano Cortez. 1-0. Mariano Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Rosa in the 26th minute. Oswaldo Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Mariano Cortez managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when O MOTIVO ⚽'s Oswaldo Rosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mariano Cortez came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by O MOTIVO ⚽'s Oswaldo Rosa. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dênis Munhoz's late challenge caught a Inter MIAMI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dênis Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. Dênis Munhoz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oswaldo Rosa to make the kick off. Mariano Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emili Lean, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Inter MIAMI's Mariano Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Matorin in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of O MOTIVO ⚽ booed when Inter MIAMI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes Inter MIAMI got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Montez. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Oswaldo Rosa put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mariano Cortez. Mariano Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Matorin in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Emili Lean had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Cortez. Inter MIAMI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emili Lean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Artemio Rik hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Emili Lean made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Cortez. Inter MIAMI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Rosa in the 80th minute of play forced Inter MIAMI's goalkeeper Mariano Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artemio Rik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Erivaldo Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emili Lean in the 83rd minute of the match. Mariano Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Rosa in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Emili Lean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Cortez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 90th minute Waldir Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that O MOTIVO ⚽ were the better team. O MOTIVO ⚽'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
