Frédson Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Dragostea E.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wei Xuan Chong fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Frédson Dante successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Frédson Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Xuan Chong in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Dragostea E.C getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Elias Nunes hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Wei Xuan Chong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frédson Dante was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Caniggia Caniggia kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Azli Lee dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 33 minutes into the game, Azli Lee recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frédson Dante. Azli Lee showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Gabriel Namasivayam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Frédson Dante when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dragostea E.C's Frédson Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Xuan Chong in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Azli Lee was the one to do the kick off. Frédson Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azli Lee, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Frédson Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azli Lee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Dragostea E.C's zone, Didi Singh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédson Dante came out of the goal and Didi Singh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wei Xuan Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Frédson Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frédson Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azli Lee in the 80th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azli Lee in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédson Dante saved Dragostea E.C from getting behind. In the 86th minute Wei Xuan Chong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes Dragostea E.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Azli Lee who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Dragostea E.C's goalie and right to Bakar Hock. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dragostea E.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Váldson Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Azli Lee came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the 【Red Empire】-Man Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Azli Lee couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Dragostea E.C's João Adolfo de Brito got a free kick in the 94th minute.
