Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alessandro Mandrak got the match started through his kick off. Comunardo Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Queiroz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Sisti got free with Reinaldo Queiroz in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edoardo Rubini hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Alessandro Mandrak got a free kick in the 9th minute. Alessio Cannavacciuolo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruninho Arósio went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Secco to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Alfonso Vieri in the 16th minute really tested Reinaldo Queiroz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alba FC's Alessio Cannavacciuolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 19th minute of play. Alessio Cannavacciuolo came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Várzea F.C.'s Alessandro Mandrak. But to his dismay, Alessandro Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Alba FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Edoardo Rubini hit a great ball. Miguel Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Marques. After the first half Várzea F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Malandra made a kick off. Várzea F.C.'s Miguel Marques got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Miguel Marques off the ground. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Miguel Marques got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Di Michele in the 55th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Reinaldo Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo Sisti's late challenge caught a Várzea F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlo Sisti helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alba FC's Carlo Sisti got a free kick in the 57th minute. Reinaldo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Malandra in the 60th minute of play. Várzea F.C.'s Reinaldo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Rubini in the 65th minute of play. Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Sisti, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Alfonso Vieri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reinaldo Queiroz skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Arósio to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Comunardo Vasco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Carlo Sisti made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Queiroz. Várzea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rogério Loureiro hit a great ball. Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Sisti, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Sisti came free, but Reinaldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Sisti, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when Alba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edoardo Rubini didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Várzea F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
