Diederick Struelens took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised William Nance. William Nance dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Toronto United's Moses Stratton got a free kick in the 19th minute. William Nance made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Yanniek Wellens sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Toronto United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayden Laframboise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Spoelbergs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Spoelbergs struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. William Nance didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purple Talents. Antonio Spoelbergs in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of William Nance, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Steffen Uijterhove hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Moses Stratton fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toronto United's protests and gave Moses Stratton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Toronto United's Moses Stratton got a free kick in the 44th minute. The audience was convinced that Rolf Leslie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoph Hagemans was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolf Leslie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolf Leslie in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christoph Hagemans saved Purple Talents from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Antonio Spoelbergs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Nance. Toronto United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Spoelbergs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Purple Talents's Christoph Hagemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moses Stratton in the 61st minute of play. Toronto United made a substitution. Winfred Varela replaced Moses Stratton. After 65 played minutes Purple Talents got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Spoelbergs. Norberto Carey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christoph Hagemans. Purple Talents's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. William Nance showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanniek Wellens in the 68th minute of the match. William Nance showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanniek Wellens, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Christoph Hagemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Leslie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Ignace Streels notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Toronto United's William Nance. William Nance was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christoph Hagemans had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Hayden Laframboise's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Toronto United's Hayden Laframboise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christoph Hagemans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 92 minutes into the match, Toronto United's goal looked a bit too open when Yanniek Wellens came free, but William Nance reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Winfred Varela during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jasper Libreghts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for William Nance. Toronto United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Leslie came free, but Christoph Hagemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Purple Talents were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Toronto United for a fine match.
